I do wish the game was just a bit longer, it feels like there is not much to do after collecting the very easy few hidden objects and rippable documents. You wouldn't be wrong for being interested in the title if only for its look, which is totally valid. The soundtrack is better than it has any right to be, and the pixel-art/cute character portraits match really well with the goofy writing and punchline-based scenarios. Special mention should go to the visual style and music. Turnip Boy never really expands upon its better ideas - it never has time to within its 2 hour runtime - but the handful of areas and dungeons are fun to traverse, and the items are clever enough to carry the length of the adventure.

Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion falls in the growing category of joke games that indie developers create that have the guise of a real game behind it.
